Charlotte is her typical self – emotionless and calculating in her investigations… except when it comes to Jamie. She and Jamie are working the same case from different angles, and it’s fascinating to read both of their POVs in this book (!!). Meanwhile, Charlotte is also in the United States chasing leads of her own. And he can’t help but think… are these things also related to the Moriartys? Are they always going to haunt him? So he starts trying to solve some things on his own for the first time in a year, and he truly feels more himself doing it than he did trying to fit into normal life. He’s dating Elizabeth (who we met in A Study in Charlotte), he’s having panic attacks, and he’s all around not very well adjusted. Jamie is back at Sherringford without Charlotte. The Case for Jamie picks up a year after The Last of August left off. Spoilers for both A Study in Charlotte and The Last of August ahead. So that planned review will be coming at a later date! Luckily for me, I have some books in reserve that I’ve been really excited to write reviews on, and this is one of them. Happy Thursday everyone! I had a different plan for today’s post, but my reading time was eaten up by other things this week and I didn’t get around to finishing my current book.
